No Croutons Required - The Winner for February and the Theme for March

The challenge for February was to come up with a potato salad and we sure did receive some creative and utterly tempting recipes. I don't know which one I would make first - they all look and sound wonderful. Be sure to check out the roundup if you love potato salads with a twist. We do have a winner to crown though. Congratulations to Mariana of Mariyka's food who submitted this Russian Winter Salad. There is some serious nourishing power in this lovely potato and beet salad.

And now it's time for March's NCR. I think many of us wish for a cleanse after indulging perhaps more than we should during the winter months, so this month I am asking for raw salads or soups. This happens to be my birthday month, so in addition to submitting a recipe, I would like some menu suggestions to go along with your dish. For a recap of the guidelines, visit this page. We look forward to your raw inspiration. All you need to do to participate is come up with your soup or salad, post about it mentioning I am the host this month with a link to this announcement, and submit your recipe via the linky tool at the end of this post by the 20th of the month. Note that only one entry per blogger will be accepted.

Nice! Happy birthday month, Lisa. I will see what kind of raw creation I create this month. :)

Oh, last month Jacqui accepted old posts... is that the same this month or just new ones?

I have great raw options in my archives... and a bit better suited for summer months' produce :)

Hi Janet; I will accept an older post if you republish and update with links.

Perfect! I went through my archives for the most flavourful raw eats I think you would like... I actually don't have any Indian raw recipes (I think I made one once but didn't like it). So, here is the second best: the mango gazpacho has chiles! And who doesn't want to try raw tacos and raw mango pie for dessert? This would be one decadent meal. :)

Oh my Janet. That is one fabulous meal. Now, if you wish to come by and cook that up for me, that would certainly be a perfect birthday meal!

Well, I;m not sure how to go about a raw soup. I suppose I get whizzing with my vitamix. Might chicken out and do a salad as it's still freezing here and hot soup is more in order. Good challenge Lisa! I'll go put it in The Food Blog Diary.

Love the colour of that salad - and will try to think of a raw creation - the temperature is forecast to be in the 30s (that is celcius) next week here so maybe that will inspire me

hi lisa I just put my entry in - technically it is a vinaigrette but I made a raw salad with it and was going to call it Salad with tomato pomegranate vinaigrette but there wasn't room on the linky. Hope it fits the bill
